It treats back pain, yes, but also much more

“There is a vast difference between treating effects and adjusting the cause.” — D.D. Palmer, father of chiropractic

Most often, people go to a chiropractor the first time for relief of acute back pain. While pain may be your main reason for seeking treatment, chiropractors treat a broad range of complaints like knee pain, neck pain, headaches, and acute pain after car accidents.

Part of an integrative approach to healing and health

At Well Balanced Center for Integrated Health, we treat more than just acute pain. Dr. Jacob McNair will not only treat your pain in your first visit, his goal is to find out what caused your pain in the first place. By diving into your medical history, Dr. Jake will assess all possible physical and environmental causes for your symptoms and devise an individual plan to get you better, faster, forever.

The main goal of chiropractic care at Well Balanced is to restore your body to its normal, optimal state by treating subluxations, or joint misalignments in the spine and extremities. These misalignments may cause restricted motion, pain, muscle spasms, altered nerve signal transmission, and reduced ability of the body to adapt to the environment.

Your first visit begins with a history and examination with Dr. Jacob. Using the information gathered during this initial consultation, he will create an individualized treatment plan that may include trigger-point therapy, stretching, and heat, to encourage blood flow and reduce muscle spasms, as well as a variety of chiropractic adjusting techniques — including activator-assisted, drop table, and manipulation by hand — to mobilize joint misalignments. After your first treatment, Dr. Jake will advise you on a treatment plan to continue your road to health and pain-free living.

Dr. Jake may add additional modalities to your treatment plan in order to get you better, faster. Those include massage, laser, acupuncture, or functional medicine.

Dr. Jake will take all of the health concerns you addressed in your initial evaluation and subsequent treatments to look at your body as a whole.
