Teresa Smalls

Trainer & Clinic Coordinator

Teresa has a huge passion for human movement, and that is what brought her to Well Balanced. Her journey started growing up in Alaska and where she played various sports. She stayed active after her athletic career ended and started pursuing training, certifications, and eventually a degree in human movement. Along the way Teresa also picked up office experience and skills that she brings to the Well Balanced management team.

Education and Training

Teresa attended Northwest Christian University where she started working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Men’s Soccer Team while completing her B.S. in Exercise Science. She has been in the Army National Guard for 5 years and is currently serving here in Oregon as a Lieutenant. She also holds a NASM-CPT and CF-L1 Certification. Teresa has plans to pursue higher education and more certifications in the near future.

Coaching

As she has worked in the human movement field, she has developed the goal to help people move their bodies correctly, without limitations. Her passion for this comes from wanting to know why the body isn’t working properly and figure out how to fix it. Teresa ultimately wants to help and motivate people to be able to do what they love doing.

Outside of work, Teresa enjoys spending time with friends and family, and being actively involved with her church. She has a passion for cooking, lifting, running, snowboarding, kayaking, and exploring places in the PNW any chance she gets.
